Wisconsin Coach Lines extends bus service to Parkside

A new route has been extended to UW-Parkside that was put into effect Sep. 1, 2012. Wisconsin Coach Lines/Coach USA Milwaukee has included a stop at the Tallent Hall parking lot bus shelter here on campus in order to cater to student commuters in the area. The new route operates on the following schedule:

Northbound, Monday through Friday: 3:40 p.m. and 7:25 p.m.
Southbound, Monday through Friday: 8:20 a.m. and 10:20 a.m.
Southbound, Weekend/Holiday: 6:35 p.m. and 10:10 p.m.

Coach USA owns more than twenty local bus service companies in North America that operate scheduled routes, motor coach tours, charters, and city sightseeing tours. Coach USA covers the Northeast and North Central regions of the United States and Canada.

This bus service ties into the city bus services in the Racine and Kenosha area, and also connects with the METRA commuter train service in Kenosha, Amtrak train service in downtown Milwaukee, Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, and Greyhound bus lines. Wisconsin Coach Lines/Coach USA Milwaukee fares from UW-Parkside must be purchased on the bus and must be paid in cash. UW-Parkside students receive special fares when connecting to campus through the Racine BUS (Belle Urban System). With a valid student I.D., the one-way fare is $1.00 off on all regular routes. UW-Parkside students with a valid UWP student I.D. and a valid BUS transfer may board within Racine to UW-Parkside only, for no additional fare. The Racine BUS service does not extend to the UW-Parkside campus on its own. However, Wisconsin Coach Lines/Coach USA Milwaukee connects with the Racine BUS at the Racine Transit Center. Brochures with detailed information on various stops, fares, or further discounts can be obtained at the Concierge Desk on the first floor of the Student Center. Additionally, students can connect to www.coachusa.com and search schedule details under “Kenosha-Racine.”
