UW-Parkside Admissions Partners with V100 for Campus Jam Concert

On Friday, 28 October, national recording artist Ace Hood will perform a free concert in the Student Center Cinema as UW-Parkside and V100 present their partnership project, Campus Jam Concert.

Ace Hood has claimed fame with his recent song “Hustle Hard,” which he performed on the 2011 BET awards with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.  Ace Hood’s album Blood, Sweat, & Tears, also features recent songs “Go N Get It,” and “Body 2 Body,” which features Chris Brown.  Accompanying Ace Hood to the stage will be Big Doon and Prophetic, known for his hit song “Green and Yellow.”

Supplies are limited, as Admissions will only give tickets to the first 150 students.  In order to receive their free ticket, the student must be currently enrolled and ready to present their Ranger Card.  Tickets are limited to one per student, and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.  For tickets, students should visit the Office of Admissions and New Student Services, located in the Student Center.

For students who cannot attend the concert, the Campus Jam event will offer many more opportunities to enjoy music and win prizes.  On Thursday, 27 October, 97.3 Radio Now will broadcast in the atrium.  In addition to their free prizes and give-a-ways throughout the broadcast, Radio Now will hand out a $500 prize to one lucky student by the end of the broadcast.  The following day, V100 will broadcast in the atrium from 10am until noon, during which time they will give away free prizes to attendees.

UW-Parkside’s Admissions Marketing Specialist Mario Martin has put the entire promotion together as a means to advertise Experience Days, and ultimately, strengthen the campus’ engagement with its prospective students.  Experience Days are events that the Office of Admissions and New Student Services host in an effort to connect with potential students. Through both tours and Q&A sessions, prospective students get a clear, definitive slice of UW-Parkside through their observations, as well as the testimonials from current students and faculty.  For more information on the concert or Experience Days, please visit the Office of Admissions and New Student Services.
